It has been announced that two radio stations will no longer be on the air as they don’t have enough listeners. GCap media have said that they will be their two digital only radio stations who are Planet Rock and theJazz.
It has been said in a statement that DAB has failed to meet their expectations and they will focus on their core FM brands including Classic FM and London station Capital 95.8.
Chief Executive Fru Hazlitt said “If digital is going to be viable on a local and regional level, it will have to be on a much lower cost platform”.
