Call of Duty 4 v1.1 Patch
After just turning on my Sony PS3 and about to play Call of Duty 4, I am then prompted to update the game…this is good news as many gamers have been waiting for an update to COD4 on the Playstation 3.

The update is the first for the PS3 (Call of Duty 4 version v1.1), the patch has been installed and although I cannot find any information yet on what this update does, I am sure it will improve some of the server trouble gamers have been having.

I will update you soon, once I know if this improves the Tiscali P2P problem.

Whatever they’ve done, I love them for it. Before the update i’d have to wait 5, 10 minutes or sometimes longer to get into a game. Since the update i’ve not waited longer than 20 seconds.

    For Pete
Hi Pete I had teh same problem as you, I change my Wirless Internet Connect to A cabled one and set the PS3 connection as A DMZ. All was then fine.

The update has allowed connection to worldwide servers as well as speeding up match making and in most parts connection issues. Saying that i still have ‘unable to connect to host’ problems on occasion…

as you Rob said “The update has allowed connection to worldwide servers”. this has positive and negative effects.

    I do get into a game quicker…
but the connection speed is often terrible, I keep leaving the game because my connection to the server is too slow.
