It was bound to happen, come on, when the word was out about the Windows 7 Ultimate people wanted to know what was behind it, well now we can tell you a little bit about it.
JayDog from TG Daily has apparently received a version of the infant OS which is the Windows 7 “Milestone 1″ the build is all Vista on top and that it is very disappointing but carries on to say that Milestone 1 has a different purpose; it is not intended to provide eye candy.
Basically to cut a long story short in the beginning of a so to speak lean and mean Windows 7 kernel underneath it manifested in some slight speed improvements, the M1 version is not a standalone Windows version and will require Vista as a foundation.
This means that you will need Vista SP1, to read the full story on this and what JayDog of TG Daily thinks please read here.

I can’t believe “JayDog” posted such a half-a**ed “product review” on the M1 build of Windows 7. I mean, come on. Someone else needs to get their hands on that build and do an ACTUAL REVIEW. No, not necessarily pro-MS but something to showcase more of what is actually contained in the build both visually and under the hood. I couldn’t help but rant about this on my blog:
