Intelligent Footbal: d3o tech match ball by Puma

There has been a new football launched by Puma and it is the d3o ball which has a cushioning layer that makes it the world’s first intelligent ball.

The d3o layer will affect the sensitivity of the material to impact the speed which means that the PUMA v1.08 ball has intelligent behaviour.

Test have been run at Sheffield Hallam University, the football will leave the players foot 6% faster with the new Puma v1.08 than all of the other leading brands available.

The ball will be used by national puma teams including World Champions Italy and the host of the Euro 2008 Austria and Switzerland.
