Amy Winehouse Applies For US Visa: Is She Performing At The Grammys?

It seems Amy Winehouse is on the mend. She was seen yesterday taking a break from rehab in order to apply for a US visa. This has sparked rumours that the soulful singing may actually perform at the upcoming Grammy awards, where she’s nominated for an impressive 6 awards.

A nurse accompanied the singer due to the supervision rules of her treatment and her doting father Mitch was also by her side during the visit to US officials at the embassy.

Amy may find it difficult to get a visa thanks to her drugs record which she got last year when arrested in Norway for possession of cannabis.

A spokeswoman for Amy has said,

“The appointment at the US Embassy was made some time ago and was part of process for obtaining a visa. No decision has been made about the Grammys. Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic.”
