This weekend saw the Superbowl which, exciting as it was, wasn’t the reason I was so enthusiastic. The Superbowl brings with it the Superbowl TV slots and this years film slots were jus as exciting, if not more so, than the football!
So, which films had a slot this year? We’ll take you through them below, if you want to watch the ad, click the links and it’ll take you straight there.

First up is the Prince Caspian TV slot. According to the ad, everything we know is about to change - but did it get us excited for the film? Well the ad certainly packed a punch and gave us a great insight as to what the entire film will involve. I guess diehard fans of Narnia will be even more excited thanks to the TV slot, but it didn’t push any of my buttons.

Then we had the Wall-E Superbowl ad. My favourite of all the TV slots without a doubt. This ad was so cute, I almost wanted to cry! I loved the way Woody and Buzz from Toy Story ‘introduced’ WALL-E and the snippets of action between the robot and the hoover made me howl. I’m almost too excited for this film!

After the cutesyness of the WALL-E ad, the Wanted slot was a relief to all the macho guys who were looking for more action. For such a small clip, the director Timur Bekmambetov has managed to create a huge buzz around this movie, and have many people saying it will be the action hit of this year. I certainly would second that!

Then there was the Iron Man slot, the ‘big one’ so to speak. Now you readers know full well that I’m extremely excited about this movie already and the Superbowl slot cemented the fact. It was great to see almost all new footage and I loved the way it centres on the different stages of the Iron Man suit.

Finally, George Clooney’s time to shine came in the form of the Leatherheads Superbowl spot. The film, appropriately about football, certainly looks like a winner and has George’s quirky style all over it.
