SpaceShipTwo the worlds largest carbon composite aircraft heading for 2008 test flight

The new ship based on SpaceShipOne which in fact claimed the $10 million Ansari X Prize in October 2004 because it was the first private manned spacecraft to go over 328,000 feet twice within a 14 day period. Well now we have SpaceShipTwo and of course its carrier aircraft WhiteKnightTwo, which is now approaching completion at Scaled Composites in Mojave, California, good news is that flight testing is set to happen towards the middle of the year.

SpaceShipTwo is the world’s largest, all carbon composite aircraft and will carry up to eight astronauts or cargo into sub-orbital space flight.
