Kate and Gerry McCann Still Official Suspects: British divers search a Portuguese lake

It has been reported that Kate and Gerry McCann’s hopes of clearing their names were crushed after it was emerged that they are set to remain official suspects.
It’s said that they had hoped to have their arguido status lifted after police chief Alipio Ribeiro admitted at the weekend detectives bungled by rushing to blame them. But government legal advisors last night ruled out any intervention.
It’s said that last night the Kate and Jerry were facing up to the nightmare of having to wait until the end of the investigation before they will have to stand trial.
Apparently Portugal’s Public Prosecution Service can remove someone’s arguido status before a criminal probe reaches its end but this is said to be extremely rare.
Reports last month suggested the couple may not learn of their fate until September after public prosecutors were granted an extension to keep police files secret.

Madeleine’s grandfather has said that he is clinging to hopes for a miracle that his granddaughter will be found alive.
Commenting on news that divers are searching a reservoir in Silves, 40 miles from where Maddie vanished in Praia da Luz, Mr Healey said that “Like most people I would like to think if there is a spark of hope I have to hang on to it. They haven’t found anything yet. We have to believe a miracle can happen. I still believe she is alive and until someone tells me different I will believe.”
Let’s just hope that they find Maddie soon

No! They should be released. The PJ have made so many mistakes they remind me of the 3 stooges.
There is no way the Mccanns are involved, they would have fallen apart long before this. (yes I know and you know they should have never left their children alone), but the bottom line is this, they are doing whatever they can to find their daughter. That’s the least they can do, is to never give up until they do find her!
Not a single day pass without me praying for Kate, Gerry, Madeleine and the twins. I live in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and allthough far apart, we believe these parents are innocent, I would never believe they harmed their daughter
I think that the parents are not involved, I mean why would they hide it, they have accepted the fact that they left the kids unattended. If they are involved I think we would have seen it by now….
