Nuvifone made official by Garmin: new smartphone, GPS, iPhone wannabe

Garmin Nuvifone

Many gadget fans would all ready know a little about the Nuvifone, but Garmin have just made the new smartphone, GPS, iPhone wannabe device official.

The Nuvifone is Garmin’s first solo attempt into the cellphone market and they believe it’s a “breakthrough product that cellphone and GPS users around the world have been longing for.

So you must have wanted a Nuvifone for a long time people?

The Nuvifone features preloaded maps of North America and Europe, it also sports HSDPA support, Google’s local search capabilities, an Internet browser and 3.5-inch touchscreen.

We are not sure on the pricing yet and it should be available in Q3 of 2008, the image below is one Engadget snapped in a darkly lit room, on a bright pole, with a shiny globe around it.
