Nuvifone made official by Garmin: new smartphone, GPS, iPhone wannabe

The Nuvifone is Garmin’s first solo attempt into the cellphone market and they believe it’s a “breakthrough product that cellphone and GPS users around the world have been longing for.“
So you must have wanted a Nuvifone for a long time people?
The Nuvifone features preloaded maps of North America and Europe, it also sports HSDPA support, Google’s local search capabilities, an Internet browser and 3.5-inch touchscreen.
We are not sure on the pricing yet and it should be available in Q3 of 2008, the image below is one Engadget snapped in a darkly lit room, on a bright pole, with a shiny globe around it.
