No one could call Gerard Butler ugly, but it seems the two go hand in hand for the stars new movie. Butler will star opposite Hollywood hottie Katherine Heigl in the new comedy, The Ugly Truth.
The film is being described as a classic battle of the sexes comedy with Butler playing Mike Alexander, a television host on The Ugly Truth. Alexander, a hidden chauvinist, forces single producer (Heigl) to complete a series of outlandish experiments which he hopes will prove his theories on relationships and eventually help her find love.
Butler is obviously looking for a change of pace after high-action flick Game and what better way than to sign on to a rom-com with Heigl, who can’t seem to put a foot wrong at the moment.
The film will be directed by Legally Blonde director Robert Luketic and will begin shooting in April.
