Rise in Sales of HD DVD in the US

It looks as if the sales of HD DVD hardware is now making a recovery in the States, a dip in sales appeared when Warner Bros said that they were going to ditch the format.

At the week ending 19th January the players sales came in at 33% for the HD set tops. Blu-ray however has 63% of the sales 3% was for dual format players.

Sales could have been helped along by the fact that Toshiba had price cuts for the HD DVD players which came in to play on the 13th January. To read the full story click here.
