My Passport Essential Portable USB Devices are being continually updated by WD and have been redesigned to compliment WD’s popular My Book, external drives.

These new devices have a sleek design and they weigh less than 5 oz, which means they are small and light enough to carry around with you. This means that owners will be able to take desktop content with them. There is now power cable needed as the drives are all bus powered.

It gets even better, if you manage to lose your drive, there’s no need to worry as the data is protected with 128 bit-encryption, while search software from Google will allow the authorised user to locate the files.

The 320GB version is priced at £11999 and is available now.
