There is to be a new way to pay for travel in London, they have already launched the cashless Oyster card scheme and the Nokia/O2 phone trial, now they want to use the contactless payment scheme and extend it to wrist watches.
Oyster are currently in negotiations with a couple watch manufacturers, Swatch being one of them. They will have to combine short range wireless technology to enable the payments to be processed when the wearer is next to a contact point.
