Sony PS3 sales up and holding its own: Does it succeed Xbox?
By: Mark Chubb | January 29, 2008
Sony have got their big heads on and why not, the Sony Corp are performing well it seems and are currently concerned about the strength of the Japanese yen but and a big but, Howard Stringer Sony’s Chief Executive said that Sony’s consumer electronics business was holding up well, despite the U.S. slowdown, with Playstation 3 (PS3) sales improving.
It is said that the Electronics operations account for nearly three quarters of Sony’s total sales; he carries on to say that the Sony PS3 has now gone past Xbox on the Christmas market and is moving into its own as it moves into a higher bandwidth.
The PS3 is now out of the woods and beginning to hold its own he said.
But does it mean that the PS3 succeeds the Xbox though?
