Major music labels are backing a new service called “Qtrax”, it’s the “world’s first 100% legal and free Peer-2-Peer music application that features fast unlimited music downloads, no adware, no spyware, no spoofing and over 25 million songs.
The service launches its free player that’s in beta at midnight (EST), although Mac OS X users will have to wait to March 18th for a download.
In their featured section we saw music artists such as Foo Fighters, Feist, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and Wu-Tang Clan.
You will be able to not only download free legal music on Qtrax but also album art, lyrics, ringtones and videos.
Could this service that has the backing of major music labels, make Apple turn downloading from iTunes free as well?
