Call of Duty 4 on Sony PS3

We wrote about the Call of Duty 4 find game and invite friend problems before on the Sony PS3, and because they took the servers offline on January 9th things should have been all fixed by now. Well it looks like thats not true as I was having connecting to game problems last night and also 6 other friends and family of mine…we were also getting server error messages, so it certainly was the server end.

Are you still getting COD4 connection problems on the Sony PS3?

Lets hope things get fixed soon, on a side note check out the game trailer below which shows some gamers set up of 3 24 inch screens playing Call of Duty 4, although it does seem a little pointless when you can buy one big display.

    That is retarded for what he spent on those 3 flat screens he could have got one sweet ass projector and a huge 110-150 screen to go with.

    1 week ago i could not connect at all it did was say downloading settings, yesterday however, it was alright , took me less than 15 sec from selecting the type of game, to getting in a game.

    Yeah tell me about it, I was going to spend yesterday playing this game online with my two cousins and a couple of friends. But hell no could no even get into a game.

    Even when i tried inviting them in, it kept on saying “Unable to connect to host”..

    Sort it out Sony will you, or unless the error is with the game and no the console..

    Ah Ah bet all you Xbox 360 fanboys are loving this aint ya.

    yes im also having problems, after several attempts it sorted itself out, but with another friend it just wouldnt work, pretty annoying as i love the game.

    I used to have a problem with the server but not anymore.
    I tried logging in before and it used to be a very painful procedure. Now it changed, it has become a seemless procedure.

    damn this is so gay, i cant connect at all sometimes, i bet about 10 hours of my 1 day and 6 hours of gameplay at rank 50 ( :-P ) is due to trying to find a frigging game!

    ive been nailing this game for ages,up to 36 rank (after prestege mode). now there were a few problems when i first got the game (when it came out), but there hasnt really been any since. there might have been like 2 or 3 instances where i got kicked from a game , but nothing like what some people are saying. …chubie one, if you want to stir things up, this is how its done… xbox live has sucked over christmas, so it will give xbots some comort to know a free service is having slight issues with one one game ;-)

    havent had a single problem with the server. either your guys connection sucks or you guys havent figured out that when it says waiting on 5 more people on the top of the screen all you do is exit and rejoin until it lets you in. soon as i log in im in.only in the first week was there problems

    Havent had any problems for the last couple of weeks. Any of the problems that do occur happen on both consoles, so its mainly a software issue from COD4 I surmise. I just got rid of my 360 copy though, cause I am one of those unlucky guys who cant get his 360 to run without getting the RROD. Im on lucky number 10 right now and so far so good, but I have given up crossing my fingers.

    today is april 3, 2009 and i have been trying to get online for the past week and when i go to find game the messgae of “Downloading Game Settings” stays on and does not proceed to the next screen. I am guessing this is a server problem on their end. But if someone could let me know whats going on i would appreciate it. I have never had this problem before.

    I can hardly ever find a game but when I do I find that COD servers are *&%£ all my other games I find no lagg Resistance 2 runs like a dream even with 30v30. Whilst COD with such few numbers has me jumping all over the place using 2 clips to kill a person sitting still… They should really improve on their servers before making the next game ass they are really crap!!!

    it says unable to connect to host.
