Universe within 1 billion Light Years
Absolutely brilliant - When I came across this I really had to write about it, it is an interactive image map of The Universe within 1 billion Light Years and what I really like is you can use the option of zooming in and in and in.

Basically the map is about galaxies and clusters which are not uniformly distributed in the Universe, so instead they collect into larger clusters and what are know as sheets and walls of galaxies.

Number of super clusters within 1 billion light years = 80
Number of galaxy groups within 1 billion light years = 160 000
Number of large galaxies within 1 billion light years = 3 million
Number of dwarf galaxies within 1 billion light years = 30 million
Number of stars within 1 billion light years = 500 million billion

Instead of me banging on and on please do go see and try this interactive map of the The Universe within 1 billion Light Years here.
