Sony takes gloves off: PS3 outsold Xbox 360 in PAL territories 3 to 1

It looks like Sony is taking the gloves off and according to David Reeves (SCEE president, CEO); the Sony PS3 outsold Xbox 360 in PAL territories 3 to 1.
They have said that “2008 will be the year that the PlayStation 3 takes the gloves off and makes a nasty dent in the UK games market”.
Although they are only talking Europe, in December just over a million Sony PlayStation 3’s were sold across all PAL territories and around “20-22% of that figure was sold in the UK alone”.
Do you think Sony will bring out the big guns in 2008?

the ps3 userbase is 9.43 million.
the xbox user base is 16.64 million
and name a game besides halo 3 that sold over 6 million.
the ps3 has been destroying the 360 in overall sales since late november.

xbox has only been selling in america. everywhere else its just about dead.
the ps3 has surpassed the 360 in japan, germany, spain, italy, soon in france and scandinavia to.
thats sad cause the 360 had a 1 year and 5 month head start in those areas.

Breaker those are some very strange statistics lol!!!!!! Strange because sony are predicting 8 million sales by March so I’d love to know where you are getting your figures from??? To the rest of you guys just type in xbox or ps3 sales and you will see that this guy is a bullshitter. Xbox have 18 million and 10 LIVE subscribers and to the guy that said that is because people are buying 2 or 3, if you did you research you would know that any faulty unit is replaced for free and covered for 3 years instead of the previous 1 year.

Check out google news and you will get multiple site to back this up and not this fanboy site you keep pumping. Check out the wikipedia site to see the sales of consoles games. Xbox have 19 over the million mark with halo getting 8.1 million whereas ps3 have 2 games, rfom (2million) and motorstorm

to johnnyb, yeh extending the warantee great, and whats the chances you get back the console you sent away for repair. How long will the one they sent you last? How long do you go without your console when it breaks? If it were a decent console none of these things would be an issue.
You don’t you keep your hard drive and send off the console, the majority of people get the new one with the new hardware that don’t have the overheating issue, well that’s what I got but later upgraded to the elite. It’s no longer an issue for new buyers although I’m sure backwards compatibility will be for many ps3 users
DUDE YOU ARE STUPID, so you havent seen an elite RROD? why isnt it a problem for new buyers? the only thing they are changing is the motherboard as far as im aware, it doesnt change the fact its still gonna overheat, obviously they are trying to reduce the risks. Also they dont send you a new console after you send them yours, they just send you one they have repaired. Also anyone who gets a ps3 without backwards compatibility and is bothered about it will just need to leave their ps2 plugged in, they look better played on ps2 anyway.

I can personally say that myself and 3 other people I know got there 360’s back in 1 week. And for the record I never sent mine in for RROD. I had another issue.
