Sony takes gloves off: PS3 outsold Xbox 360 in PAL territories 3 to 1

It looks like Sony is taking the gloves off and according to David Reeves (SCEE president, CEO); the Sony PS3 outsold Xbox 360 in PAL territories 3 to 1.
They have said that “2008 will be the year that the PlayStation 3 takes the gloves off and makes a nasty dent in the UK games market”.
Although they are only talking Europe, in December just over a million Sony PlayStation 3’s were sold across all PAL territories and around “20-22% of that figure was sold in the UK alone”.

It would finally appear that now that Microshaft have resolved the build quality, the replacement EggsBox’s that were factored into the equation of new sales now show a true reflection of sales.
Coupled with the move from HD DVD to Blu-Ray by Warner and a better library of games for the PS3 and gamers are now starting to realise where the games industry is going!!!
It’s a pity Microshaft did not realise the commitment to HD gaming that Sony has from the onset….
Most games currently out on PS3 are sub par. The games are expensive and most people are disapointed to see them being so bad.
Going forward, most new games are getting delayed or cancelled on the PS3 platform whilst the developers & publishers rush to Xbox360 & Wii.
How can Sony turn the tide? It’s too late, the product has been going no where for quite a while and it has lost its new shiny gadget image. Most people associate PS3 as a loosing product so that stigma isnt going to help. Backward compatibility is gone and the online Home is a no show. So who cares now about PS3? Its yesterdays news…

I am sick of sony making promises. About zero percent of what they say is reality.
Once MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots comes out, it’s all over haha. (For every other console that is hahaha)

ps3 has better games than M$ and the ps3 made the ps3 not easzy so that STUPID developers dont release there games on the ps3,most of the games that were going to be on ps3 and never made it SUCKED AND THATS A FACT.like Frontlines: Fuel of War that game is boring as hell,i played it in my friend’s 360.
Cookie monster why are you denying the inevitable. Everybody else outside of the USA knows that the PS3 is a far superior console. and thats why sales of the PS3 outside the US, are beating that of the 360. PS3 has sold more consoles in it’s first year, than microsoft sold in a year and a half. Games are coming out already for the PS3 that look far better
in comparison to 360 games.(you know what ones they are, so i dont need to mention them. you’ve seen them we all know you have. aint they pretty.) Sorry
i went off on 1 there. Anyway, 2008 is PS3’s year, we got loads of quality games coming out, far more than 360 got, and these are top quality franchises
like MGS4,Final Fantasy 13, Killzone 2, Haze to name a few, Oh and home is coming my friend, be patient, you cannot rush something of that magnitude, or it will be shlt. To end my little
rant i just wanna say that as 3rd party developers start to perfect their skills with ps3, and realize what they can actually do with the console, you’ll find more and more exclusive games
coming to ps3. simply because the 360 wont be able to handle them. you can scream and shout as much as you want about how both machines are equally

Yes omen it’s all the “STUPID developers” fault!!!! lol. I don’t see how it’s all going to be over once MGS4 comes out??? Sony have a 6 million user base compared to xbox’s 18 million, even if they sell one to every user, that is nothing compared to xbox’s catalogue of triple A titles that have sold way past 6 million each.
And also what is the deal with MGS4 releasing a seperate game for multiplayer??? You would think they could easily fit that into their big blu ray disk? Talk about being desperate for cash! Xbox has the exclusive rights to GTA4 Episodes also, GTA is the biggest games franchise in the world
