Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island Renamed

It has been reported that Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island has been renamed to Ashecliffe. The film, based on the novel by Dennis Lehane, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a US Marshall who is investigating an escaped murderess who is presumed to be hiding on the island. Ashecliffe is the name of the mental hospital where the film is set.

I’m a bit disappointed that they renamed the film Ashecliffe. Shutter Island sounded mysterious where Ashcliffe sounds like a period drama. Either way, it’s a Martin Scorsese film, so I’ll still enjoy it.
