Christmas Tree Shops recalls Toy Wooden Block and Train Sets: reason lead paint

Christmas Tree Shops are working with CPSC and have issued a voluntary recall for their Toy Wooden Block and Train Sets, due to a lead paint standard. Consumers have been asked to stop using these products immediately.

Over 15,000 products have been recalled as the surface paint on some of the pieces contains an excessive amount of lead paint. These toy products were made in China, and were sold in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The toys were sold from October 2006 through November 2007.
