Could this be the car of the future? Well-known designer Ross Lovegrove has designed this futuristic concept car which it a city car by day and a streetlight by night. Intrigued? You should be!

‘Car on a Stick’ is a bubble shaped green car which runs on solar power and navigates using GPS technology. It can carry up to four people and is voice activated! It sounds pretty cool already but once you’re done for the day the car is stored on the top of a telescopic pole where they then function as street lights and keeping the ground level free of parked cars!
Designer Lovegrove has said,
So, what you have here is a bubble car: very little material, transparent, very human, delicate gentle, carrying people, democratic for all of us, non-polluting, no noise.
What do you think of the Car on a Stick? Will the idea ever transpire into a real car? I hope so as I think the idea is brilliant!

It is rather intriguing… But, everyone would have to switch to the “bubble car” in order for it to work… If others use regular cars, those in the car-on-a-stick might get in a car accident and have no protection.
