The idea of an all in one remote control is something which would make lives at easier, but how good are they is the question that they need to ask. Well the Prestigo SRU 8015 by Phillips could be just what you’re looking for.
The Prestigo has a few improvements on the more conventional methods. It has a large 2 inch display where you control your equipment from. The infra red database is easy to use so that you can search the make and model and receive the code required to start operation, devices not preloaded can be set up manually. There are 25 categories which are preloaded that you choose from; to scroll through these you use the mechanical wheel which is used to select the active device in normal operation.
It is a good device, but there can be problems when using the mechanical wheel as it is easy to nudge it in the wrong direction when using an arrow key to select, also some of the buttons on the keypad are a bit close together. The control will cost about £89.00 to see where to buy other products in the range click here or to read the full review by pocket lint click here.
