This new digital camera has a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor; however the feature that makes this new camera so great is Canon’s DIGIC III processing.

According to Digital Camera Review the Rebel XSi EOS 450D is capable of taking at least 3.5 frames per second and with the AF system it really helps to speed the camera up. Canon has added a 3-inch LCD to the Rebel and features live view functionality, this is the first time that Canon has offered this feature to a consumer-level DSLR.

Canon really are throwing a lot into the Digital Rebel XSi EOS 450D like Auto Lighting Optimizer, this feature helps to correct highlight and will fix contrast issues while the camera is processing the shot.

Expect to pay about $799 for the Canon Digital Rebel XSi EOS 450D on its own, and $899 for the kit which includes an 18-55mm image stabilized zoom.
