South Carolina poll: Barack Obama leads rival Hillary Clinton, thanks to black voters

Democrat Barack Obama managed to gain a lead against rival Hilary Clinton by gaining 43 percent of the votes at the latest South Carolina poll. Reuters say that the reason for this huge margin is because the black voters in South Carolina. Clinton had 25 percent of the votes, while John Edwards only managed 15 percent of the votes.

This poll comes just three days before the South Carolina’s presidential primary, again Obama is expected to do very well as most of the primary voters in South Carolina are thought to be black. It has been reported that Barack Obama is doing well with the African-Americans, but he is still getting a decent share of the votes from the white voters also. Could Obama become the very first black President of the United States of America?
