Maria Sharapova beats Justine Henin in the Australian Open

World No.1 Justine Henin had enjoyed a 32-mathcwinning streak; however Russian beauty Maria Sharapova has ended that by beating her in the Australian Open. Sharapova beat Henin in two straight sets, 6-4 6-0, it seems that Maria is on top of her game and doing much better than her performance last year.

The Sydney Morning Herald said that Sharapova seeded 5th blasted out of the blocks from the start of the match and broke Henin’s serve early in the game. From then Maria Sharapova seemed to be unstoppable as she unleashed a number of backhand winners. Maria Sharapova will now face Jelena Jankovic in the Semi Finals.
