We have spoke about e-paper a few times and even how it will help better browse the web in the future, but we have some breaking news that the future is now in 2008.
An e-paper mobile phone by Polymer Vision is going to launch half-way through 2008, although there is no pricing and exact availability information yet.
What we do know about the e-paper phone is that it will be the world’s first that folds out, when you want to read email, blogs, news and more you just pull the e-paper display out and when finished slide it back into the phone (as you can see in the photos on this page).

The Dutch company “Polymer Vision” is also quarter-owned by Philips; their chief executive said “You get the large display of e-reading, the super battery life of e-reading, and the high-end connectivity … and the form factor and weight of a mobile phone“.
