1.2 million Sony PS3 consoles sold over Christmas in Europe: Will they hit the target?

1.2 million Sony PS3

Sony will make its target of 11 million units shipped worldwide by the end of March 2007 and with 1.2 million Sony PS3 consoles sold over Christmas in Europe alone over the five week period says yes they will.

Man people have probably thought if Sony will meet their target of 11 million units sold by March and we say going by the Xmas period they are damn on the way to making goals.

This actually is keeping in line with US sales for the same period which is astonishing, for this region it is a record for the number of Playstation 3 sales, so with the added benefits of the holiday season and price drops the 11 million target is well within reach worldwide.

We know that with many great software releases on the horizon as well as the possible release of the all new White 40GB model, we can say 2008 is going to be fantastic for the PS3.

    Who writes this stuff???? PS3 sold 2.56 million for 2007 (check out google news, there are loads of retail sites to back this up) so how are they meant to jump to 11 million in 3 months?

    The latest tally was 8.5 million sold without these new numbers. So with another 1.2 tallied in Europe, the world wide tally is 9.7 million. Another 3 months, and I think they are there. No Problem. These are better than xbox numbers for it’s 2nd year in life, easily.

    sony have sold aound ten million ps3′s not including the ones sold n japan for q4 so they most probably are already on the 11 million mark. go to nextgenwars.com for info and add 2.4 million sold in america and europe to the amount of consoles sold and u will see
