Lemar has become a father for the first time

British singing Lemar has become a father after his long-term girlfriend Charmaine Powell has given birth to a baby girl.

They welcomed their daughter who they have called Nyiema Obika at London’s private Portland hospital on Saturday night.

Little Nyiema weighed in at a healthy seven pounds.

A spokeswoman for Lemar said that “Lemar is overwhelmed on the birth of his beautiful daughter. Mother and little baby girl are both doing fine.”

Lemar rose to fame after coming third on U.K. reality TV show Fame Academy in 2002.
