At lot of people like to have a drink, but it worth paying the extra cash for a cab rather than to risk having a drink and then be over the limit to drive. But, this device is something can could help you out if you do decide to have a drink and drive.

The breathalyzer which is pictured above is small enough to fit into your purse or pocket, it has a patented technology (BluFire) which steadies the sir flow into the machine. You don’t have to even put your mouth to it as you can blow from up to a half inch away. The result will be given back to you in around 3 seconds.

However, I am not convinced and when all is said and done its best not to drink at all when you have your car with you!!

Not a bad idea to carry such a device around so you know where you stand. Also, not a bad idea to not drink and drive.

However, from many years of experience defending these types of cases, I can tell you that the .08 “legal limit” is a fallacy. That is, if you blow a .07,.06, .05 and perhpas lower (depending on the cop’s mood) you are STILL going to be arrested and booked and required to obtain a lawyer to defend you. The .08 number nowadays is just a general marker. You can NOT rely on that threshold to serve any purpose.

The best idea therefore is to catch a cab and not to drive because you are NOT safe from being arrested. The police, as a result of media, MADD, heavy internal pressure, “nonexistent” quotas, overtime in court, arrest everybody and anybody they can get their hands on. Therefore, do not rely for one second on a number being low on a machine. Essentially, if they pull you over and you have alcohol on your breath, you are cooked, period! Not to say the matter can’t be defended in court, but by then much of the damage has been done.
