Everyone knows about the Xbox 360 RROD (red ring of death) thanks to some 33% of games consoles getting this problem, now we have proof of the Sony PS3 death with a so called YLOD.
The video below shows a Playstation 3 with yellow lights, it sounds like a hard drive gone bad to me from the clicking noise as that’s what I have had with many PC hard drives.
Every product gets faults, but it’s just what percentage of that product that counts. We have heard around 1% of PS3’s have problems and why shouldn’t they, but this is nothing compared to the well known and joked about world-wide RROD.
In the case of the gamer that made this video below, his console has already been taken away by Sony.
Update:
raza514 made a good point, the sound is not coming from the ps3….it was there before he turned it on.

Thanku Daniel….
Hmm. I find this kind of odd. He could have done a hard reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
The clicking noise was coming BEFORE he even switched the MAIN POWER ON so there was no electric flow = no clicking from ps3
what a fake just to try to bag on the ps3
lol still means nothing cuz ps3 have less then 1% fail rate while 360 have a 30% fail rate mmm now what do you think more reliable . erm ps3. the ps3 is designed to last 10 years the 360 couple of months.
Wow, that’s obviously fake. I’ve been on the PS3 forums ever since it’s come out, and I haven’t heard one happening anything like that.
Way to make shit up…
Now do us all a favor and go back to Bill Gate’s house. It looks like it’s your turn in the long line of 360 fanboys who want to suck his dick
wow
It doesnt sound like anything is wrong when it boots up. It seems more than likely that there is no HDD in the unit. PS3 needs a HDD to boot.
This is obviously fake, I’ve been around the Playstation Forums since the PS3 came out and I haven’t even heard of this once.
Now excuse me while I wait for my 7th RROD’d 360 to ship back. I’m going to go play Uncharted in the meantime.
Yeah I just send away for my 11th xbox I think we should all just buy the ps3, enough is enough!!!!!!
Not surprising. Do a search on youtube and you will find lots of PS3s with problems. Why do you fanboys insist the PS3 is perfect and that this video must be fake? Please get a grip on reality!
Are you saying nothing from Sony ever breaks down? What about the disc read errors with the PS2? What about the laptop batteries that would catch fire? What about the problems with the CCD on cameras?
These must be “fake” problems as well, right?
