hmmm….not yet seen the movie, but from reviews and reader comments it appears to have an over 90% rating which is simply amazing for such an unbelievable nonsense as a outsize monster rampaging through a city !!! and that too with countless godzilla, king-kong type movies already becoming history, seems the movie producers have pulled off the impossible…glurk !

guess its worth seeing…….off to the ticket booking counter !

The Movie was a insanely fun ride- There is more action in this movie than I am Legend but it doesnt to have the same amplitude( because its not as touching However it is emotional at points)
The Movie is a love story saturated with with action. Some might not notice the love story because the movie is so Nutts. The thing that drives the film is that you only know as much as the people documenting it- The chaos captured by the camecorder lets you in as one of the victims of the attack-Its a rush. I recommend it!!!

The worst movie I have seen in a long time. The hand-held flming tried to make you feel like one of the victims, but I was left nauseated with a headache.

Im not sure who is saying this is a good movie. Must be teenagers first horror flick. If you are a horror film buff…this movie will suck!! The begning dragged on seemingly forever, the flow of the movie was choppy at best and the end was awful. There were a few good special effect scenes and a couple edge of your seat spots but those were quickly lost in the rubbish of the rest of the movie.

I had never walked out of a theatre part way through a movie until Cloverfield. The idea of the movie wasn’t bad, although simplistic. The camera work was awful. This movie was essentially a Hollywood version of Blair Witch meets Godzilla, with shakier camera work.

I loved it. Most of the theater hated it loudly, but once you got used to the bouncy camera you could really get into it. I think people who didn’t like it expected a more standard plot line like Godzilla had. I strongly agree with Jr’s review below.

Mark, do you have any reason why Horror film buff’s would hate this movie? I don’t know…maybe because it’s not a Horror film??
Learn the definition of a sci. fi. film buddy. But that’s ok..it’s probably your first Science Fiction movie, it’s understandable why you couldn’t comprehend the subject matter, as in the direct parallel to the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.
