Jar Candles by The Wick & Petal have been recalled because, shockingly, they pose a fire hazard! Apparently, the candles burn with a higher than usual flame, which is the cause for the fire hazard.
Around 1,300 of the candles have been recalled after seven reports came in of the candles burning with a high flame, causing minor property damage. The candles involved in the recall are the cylindrical candles with a chrome lid. The lid has a white label with a picture of the fragrance, the fragrance name, and “Wick & Petal Co.” printed on it.
The Jar Candles were sold at select candle retailers and craft fairs in Indiana between October 2007 - December 2007. They retailed at around $8 - $18
Consumers are advised to stop using the candles and return them to the place of purchase where they will get a full refund.
