Man of the moment Mark Ronson has let split that the super-talented Amy Winehouse has written an album full of holiday tracks. According to Ronson, who was speaking in an interview with Rolling Stone, Winehouse has said that the singer has written the tracks around the Christmas and hanukkah theme.
Ronson said, “We’re talking about making a holiday record, with Christmas songs on one side and Hanukkah songs on the other. She’s got songs called, like, ‘Kosher Kisses’ and ‘Alone Under the Mistletoe’.
“She was kind of f*****g around, but I was like, ‘You have all these amazing records to play for Christmas, like Motown and Carla Thomas and the Charlie Brown Christmas, and unfortunately, us Jews have nothing that cool to listen to. So we should do something.”
I’m sorry but how cool would that be? I bet her holiday songs are way better than the trash we normally get given at Christmas!
Mark Ronson also revealed that he and Winehouse will be returning to the studio later this year for a follow-up to Back To Black.
Do you think the Mark Ronson/Amy Winehouse partnership is a match made in heaven?
