U-Verse IPTV batteries
AT&T has to sort this one out seeing as these U-Verse IPTV equipment cabinets all over the country have a growing concern that they may explode, with this in respect AT&T are looking at replacing over 17,000 backup batteries in U-verse equipment cabinets.

So far to date there have been four incidents since October 2006 in where explosions have occurred in Houston, Wisconsin and Cleveland.

The incident that happened in Wisconsin was so strong when it exploded it had enough force to blow the 50 pound cabinet door off its bolts, this is pretty bad for AT&T seeing as the battery manufacturer “Avestor” filed for bankruptcy in October 2006 and of which are now out of business.
