PC Playing Crysis

Everyone knows that the recent Patch for Crysis has made the game run a lot better, but I was sure a cheap $900 PC would not be that good at Crysis.

One gamer has claimed that a $900 computer that features OS Microsoft Windows XP Home with SP2, DVD 20x DVD±R Burner, HDD SATA 250GB 7200RPM, RAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit, Motherboard NVIDIA nForce 650i Socket 775, GPU GeForce 8800GT 512MB, CPU Intel Core2Duo E6750 and game running at a 1280×720 resolution can do it on high.

The video maker said that this computer setup is Crytek’s; it was their way of showing gamers that Crysis can be played on a cheaper PC.

You can watch a two part video below which shows gameplay, here is a direct quote from CryTek “With only a limited budget of around US $900 we wanted to set up a brand new machine that can handle Crysis on High settings. We should note that Very High settings are reserved to keep Crysis future-proofed, just like Ultra was in Far Cry”.
