Most actors have claimed that they would like to go behind the camera and direct at some point in their careers, but who would have thought Scarlett Johansson would be the next starlet to make the transition? It has been reported by pagesix that Johansson will direct a five minute segment in the Manhattan based sequel to Paris, Je T’aime, which will be called New York, I Love You.
As with the Paris movie, this project will feature twelve short films which all focus on a different area of New York. Stars already confirmed to direct are Anthony Minhella, Mira Nair, Park Chan-Wook and Zach Braff. There’s also a rumour that Woody Allen will be involved too.
As the report is from gossip site pagesix, it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt. But I think Johansson will work wonders behind the camera, so hopefully this is one rumour that materialises into reality.
