Patrick Goschy

Many of you may have heard already about Patrick Goschy and his Nintendo Wii Story but today Engadget have got more information from him about his claim of inventing the Nintendo Wii style controller.

They learned that Patrick still had the original prototype controller and had no plans on suing Nintendo (well he could not really as his last employer Midway owned all of his patents).

Engadget saidNintendo bought the patents from Midway, since Nintendo references one of the patents in its application for the Wiimote”.

All that Patrick Goschy wants is recognition; he said “I just wanted people to know. Wanted the truth to come out. Did this 8 years ago, and the Wii has been such a huge deal, I wanted the truth to get out there. It wasn’t these two or three Japanese guys that came up with this thing”.

What’s your opinion, should he get recognition?

Sure why not. If he is really the creator. Otherwise Nintendo is getting rich and not paying royalties.

He’s got no particular proof. Why doesn’t he have Nintendo approve this and/or show the official papers?
