iPhone Update 1.1.3 Firmware: iTunes connected at last

iPhone Update
Following my post earlier about connection problems to iTunes when tying to update my Apple iPhone, I can now confirm after trying for over 2 hours I have now been able to start downloading the iPhone update 1.1.3 Firmware.

It’s been downloading a while so I am not sure how long it’s going to take (guess Apple’s servers are very busy today).

My efforts to download the updated Ipod Touch software failed; and I got the message that I would have to “restore” which deletes all existing stuff; I went ahead and the restore ALSO failed for unidentified reasons (#1603); so I now have a totally inoperative Ipod.
