Charlize Theron Joins Viggo Mortensen On The Road

Charlize Theron is to star in John Hillcoat’s adaptation of the novel by Cormac McCarthy, The Road. She’ll be joining Viggo Mortensen who has been cast for months.

The film follows the story of a man and his son who make their way across post-apocalyptic America in order to find reufuge from the bands of thieves and cannibals who are also on the road.

It is said that Theron’s character will be seen ‘mostly’ in flashback and will only be a small role.

Filming is set to begin next month with a possible release at the end of this year.
