Following on from the post earlier about the Apple MacBook Air having no user-replaceable battery, we can now confirm that the battery replacements will cost $129 and that includes a free install.

Engadget saidWe’ve got word back from Apple on MacBook Air battery replacement. The good news is a new MBA battery is the same as a new MacBook Pro battery: $129. And hey, installation is even free!

Sadly this still means you would have to hand your nice Mac Air to Apple until they manage to get the new battery installed.
