Michael Vick’s House to be an Animal Shelter: Do you agree?

After Michael Vick was found guilty of taking part in an illegal dog fighting ring he sold his luxury home for a mere $450,000 rather than the full value of $747,000.

The property has two master suites, a basket ball court, four out buildings and a lot of dog cages. Jalie’s Butterflies have currently raised $11,000 for the project and they have said that if they do not raise enough funds to turn the house into an animal shelter the money they have raised will be given to the ASPCA.

I think this is a great idea, and hope many people will too.

No, I do not agree. I do not think any pets should be placed in an area where so much torture to pets took place. Either the house should be razed and made into a pet cemetary, or made into a bed and breakfast with all proceeds going to current animal rescue groups. Something to make money for all the other pets who are suffering.

I disagree. I think it is a disgrace to even make the suggestion. The animal rights organization has gone too far and eventually will be stopped in their own tracts. Its only a matter of time. “Pride goes before and a haughtly spirit before a fall. PETA has become proud and haughty. They should be careful in their activities. It is only a matter of time before someone begins to carefully examine their coffers, donations and how they are being spent. Should PETA continue to have its non-profit status? Only the government can make that decision and I gather they are in the process of examing PETA’s activities and making that decision.
