A lot of us are interested in ways that we can use up the earths resources to generate energy, but the problem is that we need to find something that is easy to come by and will reproduce itself quickly whilst not being damaging to the environment.

Algae could be the solution that scientists have been looking for. Aquaflow Bionomic Corporation which are based in New Zealand are hoping that this could just be the thing were looking for. We all know that algae grows at a staggering rate, so there’s plenty to go round and it reproduces quickly and Aquaflow Bionomic are saying that it could generate up to 30 times more energy per acre of land than other bio fuels.

Algae grows in shallow, dirty water and doesn’t need a lot of space to grow where as other bio fuels such as sugar cane, rapeseed and corn, need space and time to develop. Could Algae be the way forward!!
