    “.. PSP’s sales also surpassed the Nintendo DS”

    When did that happen? Dude do some research, the PSP hasn’t even come close to catching up the sales of the DS. Not the weekly, sales, not the monthly sales, and certainly not the overall sales.

    The psp did overtake the nds for a few weeks in Japan, however the statement within the article appears to suggest that the 2007 sales of psp hardware outsold nds hardware in japan, which is very misleading. While I do agree that the psp has made a remarkable rally in the japanese market hardware wise, the nds still outsold the psp by a 2 to 1 margin. 7,167,372 for the nds vs. 3,069,465 for the psp according to Media Create.

    I smell PSP fanboy-ism in the article. The PSP only outsold the DS during the time a high-end franchise release on the system, but ONLY lasts during those times. If you need an awesome success story on a good system, please look at the following:

    I sure don’t think the PSP has sold more than the lifetime of the PS2 in Japan like the DS has. Correct your misleading ‘facts’.

    moron the psp hasnt even come close to outselling the nds.
    and as for a great year i agree 250 games were released in 2006 and only 5 were actually great in 2007 300 games were released with 7 biegn good.
    and to the person who wrote this article learn your facts and state them more clearly.
    and yes i own a psp thats how i know the #of crap on the system

    its propaganda

    how can it be a great year for psp when they have had to release a new version of the same crappy handheld? if the first one even came close to the DS, it wouldnt have been needed

    @Daniel

    That is not relevant; passing the DS in sales for a week or two in a span of years is but a spec of dust in a desert. The implication of “weekly sales” is what is “expected” and what happens on the “average week”.
