Sony PSP firmware 4.0 bringing DivX Certification

There is currently a rumor being made by someone who says “I did hear an interesting ‘bon mot’ from a friend that works at SONY” (see source below), the guy was told that the PSP is getting DivX Certification which will then allow the Playstation portable to download TV shows and movies through the PC store.

This update will apparently be released within two months and come with PSP firmware 4.0, the content will be transferred via the PS3 from selected third party retailers.
