Sony PS3 Future Price Cut
The Sony PS3 has had some nice price cuts last year which made many gamers new to the Playstation 3 happy, but with the news that Sony has cut production costs down 50% could we start hoping for another price cut in the next year or two.

The production cost now is around $400 from $800 when it went on sale in November 2006, saving $400 is a lot but would Sony ever want to bring the price down more.

Sony have been able to “shrink the PS3’s chips and tweak its design,” which has helped lower the production cost and at the very least gives us hope that there could be room for a price cut in the future.

That depends greatly on how well it sells. I’m expecting it to start flying off the shelves as this year progresses, in which case a price cut would be doubtful.
