LittleBigPlanet is one of the biggest and most talked about games of 2008 among all consoles, the Sony Playstation 3 game may be the breaking point for the PS3 vs Xbox 360 debate.
For anyone that does not know much about LittleBigPlanet we have three videos below which give you a massive insight into the game, we have a community trailer, CES 2008: Demonstration and a Character Creation video below.

Many game sites are liking what they see when they review LittleBigPlanet, AMN Games said “Sony has accomplished the inconceivable: they have made their console appear attractive to me” and IGN said “While Sony has published some great games for their system like Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank, neither of those games really seem to have the staying power that LBP is poised to offer.”
LittleBigPlanet will not only be a game, but also a massive community and a way gamers can share their creations with friends, family and the world.

Although the Xbox 360 had a big start, it now looks like the Playstation 3 is turning heads its way.

Doesn’t impress me really. If I owned a PS3 I would buy a stack of games over this. This game is great for tech demos but are you really going to get hours of enjoyment if you aren’t an artistic person? (which most people arent). And even if someone creates a great level will the excitement last longer than a couple of minutes? I doubt it. I think its a great addition to the PS3, but you (and other PS3 fans) really think this is the breaking point?
For now I try and respect the hype until it released “eventually” and people spend more than just a few minutes with it.
This game will definitely be a ground braker in the art of gaming. making your own levels……. whew…..endless……How can you not like this game….It’s endless…. The only time the game will get boring is when we (the people) stop creating levels for it……not gonna happen… IMO………..
@ Devise
You dont have to create anything if you dont want to. Its like YouTube. You can make your own stuff if you want or just spend your time with stuff other people have made.
I defy anyone to watch this video of the 4 player multiplayer and say crap like you did that they ‘will only play a few minutes on it’.

I was initially sceptical about this as I have never really wanted to make games. Then I thought about creating stuff with my son and suddenly it looked like it could be amazing fun. Just hope it lives up to the hype.
I never said the game was crap, and I never said people ‘will only play a few minutes on it’. Why did you put something I didn’t say in quotes like it came from my mouth?
Anyway. It still only mildly appeals to me from that video footage. I’ve seen plenty of LBP videos before. It’s basically just a puzzle game with custom levels. Each level has zero replay value. The amount of time it took to create that level in the editor and the result is 3 minutes of mild entertainment. I think the replay value is suspect even with the custom levels. Does it even have any balanced competitive multiplayer aspect to it? If you die on a level 100 times but cross the line are you still the winner? Just throwing these questions out there. Dont hate on me, just tell me your opinion. I’m interested to hear some responses.
@ Devise
I suggest you just stick with your 360 and shooting things. Idiot.
@Devise. I think your questions are valid. You need to be able to do more than just bounce your way from one end of a level to the other solving the odd puzzle as you go. Will be interesting to see. Presumably there must be some mechanism to time and score progress. It would be nice to be able to impede as well as help other players.
LittleBigPlanet is one of the most eagerly awaited games in years. It has received universal praise and is set to be absolutely huge. Every single reporter who has seen a demo in person or who has had any hands on time with it has showered it in praise.
Strangely though, most Xbox 360 owners think its rubbish. I wonder why? lol
Hahaha. You’re too funny Fred.
