Death Race 2008 Movie vs Death Race 2000

Way back in 1975 a film was released called Death Race 2000. As a shocking thriller, it depicted the story of a future sporting event which sees contestants scoring points as they run people down all across the country. Fast forward to 2008 and it’s about time for a remake don’t you think? Well, Paul W.S Anderson is stepping up to the plate to bring a new-look Death Race set in the year 2020.

Death Race 2008 will follow the story of a prisoner who, just weeks away from being released, is forced by his warden to compete in a deadly car race alongside his fellow inmates. It’s like Death Race but 2000 but with more shocks, thrills and gore!

Now, there’s a saying ‘original is best’ and when movies are concerned, it’s usually the case. But I think that this time round this movie will benefit from a facelift, so to speak, with special effects and a fresh new look.
