Sweeney Todd Premiere Hits London

Last night saw the premiere of the highly-anticipated Tim Burton musical, Sweeney Todd. Unlike Tom Hanks, who rolled up to his premiere of Charlie Wilson’s War alone, the cast of Sweeney Todd were all in attendance on the red carpet.

The film, a screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, sees Johnny Depp as the illustrious Sweeney Todd; a barber who, after being imprisoned on the other side of the world, returns to Fleet Street in order to slit the throats of everyone who has wronged him. His landlady (and lover) Mrs Lovett then disposes of the evidence in meat pies.

With a torrential downpour, it was obvious that the stars of the musical didn’t want to hang around outside for very long. Empire online managed to get a quick interview with them though. You can check the interviews out here.
