As of today you can call a cab from the riverside in Osaka, Japan. They pick you up on the riverside and drop you off all safe sound and most importantly dry! The private operator of these water taxi cabs is Osaka Mizukaido 808 who drove the amphibious taxi up and down the Dotonbori River on the 9th January as a test run.

Each cab can hold up to three passengers, these cabs have been mainly designed for the tourist trade and will cost about 19,560 yen ($175) for an hour, which personally I think is rather expensive. To read more click here.
